The Mattatuck Museum Arts and History Center commissioned this film to document the Josephine McMillen and Lois Livingston McMillen Exhibit featuring of the dynamic artof five women artists. The film reveals the aesthetic and intellectual instigations behind each of the artists’ creations as well as the precise and painstaking detail required in the art-making process. The artists are: Leah Joo, Susan Madasci, Mia Brownell, Afarin Rahmanifar, and Eleanor Miller.

The filmmaker, Carina Tautu, was the Programming Director for the Connecticut Film Festivals; she received her MFA in film directing/writing from Columbia University. Ms. Tautu will introduce the film and the artists will attend the reception that follows the premiere.
